Resource: Cuddlist.com
While I’m still figuring out the many ways to show up on this blog, and what feels genuine for me, I wanted to take some time to share a resource for those seeking platonic physical and emotional connection. Cuddlist.com is a directory showcasing the profiles of professional cuddlers throughout the country, who offer platonic physical connection to their clients. The cuddlers on Cuddlist.com are trained and certified, following a code of conduct that requires refraining from sexual relations and arousal. This is not a sex work service, and should only be pursued by those that are certain they can abide by the rules and code of conduct. This is an excellent space to practice consent, articulate your preferences, learn about the parts of you that need nurturing care, and to tune into your body.
I wanted to share about this website, as I often have clients express that physical touch is a need of theirs, that they’re either finding unfulfilled in their relationship or their single life. While touch from someone that you love can fulfill an attachment need, there are creative ways, like seeking professional cuddlers, to find similar fulfillment or a type of surrogate attachment figure. If you’d like more resources around the benefits of working with a professional cuddler, I recommend checking out Michelle Renee’s profile, as she’s a co-founder of Cuddlist and outlines many resources on her profile HERE.
Please note that by posting about this source, this is not therapeutic advice and I am not endorsing this as a path for every individual, nor do I offer these services myself. If you’d like more information about what a Cuddlist session looks like, I recommend checking out this video HERE.
