Sex Therapy Clinical Applications Book Club
1.5 CEUs per meeting
If you’re a mental health clinician in the state of Texas, this live, online CE offering is for you. Join me virtually from 12PM-1:30PM CST on June 26th, 2026 for a 90 minute book club and interactive workshop discussing Silva Neves’ Compulsive Sexual Behaviours: A Psycho-Sexual Treatment Guide for Clinicians.
During our time together, we’ll reflect on the impact of the text and our relationships to working with compulsive sexual behaviors as clinicians and engage in interactive exercises inspired by the text.
Learning objectives include:
Defining compulsive sexual behaviors and learning to assess for their presence.
Being able to better understand conceptualizations, treatment planning approaches, and interventions for compulsive sexual behaviors.
Translating theory into practical, ethical treatment interventions. We will do so using sample case material.
Successfully developing a treatment plan based on fictional cases.
Exploring ethical dilemmas and self-of-therapist work as it relates to compulsive sexual behaviors.
This is a space to learn in welcoming community! You do not need to have experience with compulsive sexual behaviors prior to attending the meeting. Come as you are, and let’s learn together! There will be additional time at the start to get to know the other clinicians in attendance.
Sex Therapy Clinical Applications Book Club is run bi-monthly, and if you’re unable to attend this session, stay tuned for August’s book.
To obtain CE credits, full attendance is required and a course evaluation must be completed afterwards in order to secure your certificate.

The group is limited to 12 attendees. To make CEUs accessible to BIPOC, I reserve three spots to BIPOC on a pay-what-you-can basis.

If you are a new clinician and still building your caseload, I offer consultation on a sliding scale from $50 per hour. While I’m not a supervisor, I’m happy to chat with folks from the graduate level and onward about case conceptualization, sex therapy, or provide guidance around crafting a career in sex therapy.
